Work in the community
We are pleased to be involved with some local projects which are helping the community. We have donated our time to the following organisations:
Forres Town Twinning project
We are delighted to be involved in the the Forres twin town project. We live and work here and the project offers interesting development opportunities. Having parties in distant camps makes it an ideal project to test out some collaborative ideas. We will be using a CMS to allow each town to login and edit their own sections.
Rock For Heroes
This is a project to stage a huge music festival in Grant Park, Forres. Gavin and Amber Connolly are musicians with a passion to bring good quality music to the town. This is a charity event supporting the Help for Heroes campaign which help injured soldiers. We were pleased to be able to offer our support with a website and social media.
Moray Firth Live
MorayFirthLive is a community media project to provide a platform for news gathering and distribution. It was initially a short-term idea to provide us with enough knowledge and experience to build a platform for news publishers to converge into new media. However, it became so successful, that we decided to extend it. It now employs two people aggregating news links from the Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire. It was awarded a Golden Twit award last year for providing the best Information Service in the UK on Twitter, ahead of Channel 4.
