Making your website GDPR-compliant

GDPR kicks in this week and we have created a package to help you keep your website and mailing list compliant.
We think the regulation is a great way to ensure you are marketing to people who are genuinely interested in your products and services.
After May 25, you won’t be able to opt people in if they don’t untick a box, and you can’t use business cards you collected at a networking event.

A forever privacy policy

If you have already had a website audit, written a privacy policy and asked your customers for their explicit consent to keep receiving marketing messages, then you don’t need our help.
If you haven’t already done these three things, you need to act before 25 May.
Our package includes:

  • A review of your website forms and cookies
  • Rewording of opt-in consent messages
  • Creation of a new list in MailChimp or Active Campaign
  • Wording for your last non-GDPR email
  • Creation of a Privacy Policy and cookie alert

What if things change?

This is a subscription service that pulls in the relevant legal statements according to the services you use on your website. Things like contact forms, Google Analytics, Facebook pixels and cookies are all covered.

Perhaps the most useful aspect of our offer is that if any third party service changes, the small print in your Privacy Policy will automatically update. If the law changes, which it may after Brexit (This is EU legislation), the privacy policy will again be updated to reflect these changes. And lastly, if you add a service to your website that requires changes to your privacy policy, we’ll update it at no extra cost.

Please bear in mind that it is YOUR responsibility to be compliant and your privacy policy might need to change over time.

Our service is £50 setup fee and £100 annually, but as a subscriber to out pre-GDPR list, we’re giving you a voucher for 50% off the recurring fee forever.

If you buy an SSL certificate at the same time, we’ll waive the £50 installation fee off that too.

Canary Dwarf does not offer legal advice and this is not a legal service. You can provide us with your own privacy policy if you prefer. You absolve us from any liability arising from non-compliance of your website or mailing list, or loss or abuse of your customers’ data. You should also be aware that GDPR applies outside of your website, and our service does not cover this, and Canary Dwarf cannot review or provide advise on other data processes within your company.
