Email marketing is still one of the most lucrative ways to put your name in front of buyers. It’s also one of the easiest, and one of the cheapest. We’re talking here about signing up people up to a mailing list and using a piece of software to manage subscribers, campaigns and reports.
As the quote above indicates, when somebody signs up to your email list, they are sending a strong signal that they are interested in what you have to sell. It’s a signal you shouldn’t ignore, and you should keep sending emails until your subscriber becomes a customer.
That doesn’t mean you have to be spammy or overbearing. Email marketing is a great way to keep your customers informed and entertained, it can provide a secondary role in content marketing, by providing useful advice that keeps your name promimently connected to your products and services. It’s only a matter of time before they will buy.
